Christian is currently National Head of Design at CHEP - part of BBDO Worldwide. He leads the design offering of the agency - coaching and mentoring a team of 25+ multi disciplinary designers - to create world class brands, campaigns, digital products and experiences.
Highlights at CHEP include a Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Samsung’s ‘Flipvertising’ campaign, Full Service Agency of the Year at 2023 Mumbrella Awards and Australian Effective Agency of the Year at the 2023 Effie Awards. He is a recipient of the agency's annual Peter M. Harvie Employee of the Year award.
He places a strong emphasis on talent development within his teams, with members winning the Design category of the Cannes Young Lions Australia competition in both 2023 and 2024, as well as placing in the Emerging Designer of the Year category at the AGDA Awards for three years in a row, earning Distinction and Pinnacle awards respectively.
Prior to CHEP he was Head of Design at Streamtime, a SaaS product imagining the future of project management software for creative businesses. His work here was recognised with a Webby Award for Web Services & Applications in 2020 and was awarded Best In Show at the 2019 W3 Awards.
Over the course of his career he has worked at some of the world’s most forward thinking agencies, including R/GA and Huge/Elephant, for the likes of Apple, Google, Nike, Beats, YouTube, Playstation, Lego, Electronic Arts and Red Bull. A first class honours graduate of the pioneering digital hybrid degree BSc (Hons) MediaLab Arts. He has instructed at General Assembly, tutored at AWARD School and mentored for IxDA.
His work focuses on team leadership, creative direction and connected design practices for innovative brands, products, services, campaigns and experiences. He has been awarded at D&AD, Cannes, One Show, Clio, IAB, Midas, AWARD, FWA, AGDA and The Webbys.
